The synths on this are totally nuts…and that’s before the beat even drops. Richard Anthony Hewson, an English producer and arranger, is the disco synth genius behind RAH Band (get it?). Full of whimsy and half-completed musical thought bubbles. Guitarists have real nice chops…make their melodies sound like assertive birds. Don’t let the balladeering beginning fool you. Honestly, this sounds like an outtake from Bitte Orca. Two years late maybe.

On stage TONIGHT at 285 Kent in Williamsburg with fellow guitar virtuoso Delicate Steve; Friday 3/8 at The Stone in the East Village, quite a lovely spot to see this sort of music; and 3/13 at SXSW.
